RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

Vinicunca means “mountain of colors”. It is also known as “rainbow mountain”. It is located at 5036 meters above sea level and belongs to the Ausangate snow-capped mountain in the Vilcanota mountain range, it is the fifth highest mountain in Peru. It is a challenging but impressive hike.

Itinerary and description of the activity:
– Meeting point at the hotel lobby. Urubamba: 04:00 AM – Cusco City: 05:00 AM
– Transfer to Pitumarca which is located at 4320 masl (3 hours approx.)
– Starting point from Qesiuno.
– Hike of approximately 2 to 3 hours.
– We arrive to the snowy Vinicunca that is 5036 meters above sea level.
– Free time to take pictures, enjoy the scenery and rest.
– Lunch (Box Lunch).
– On the way back we descend the mountain to Quesiuno.
– Return to the hotel.
