DAY 01: WELCOME TO LIMA, CITY OF KINGS AND LARCO MUSEUM OF PRE-HISPANIC CULTURES

An exclusive and immersive tour of the Historic Center of Lima will take us to admire the architectural relics that form part of this ancient Lima, recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site.

The Santo Domingo Convent marks the beginning of this magnificent experience. Built during the foundation of Lima, inside we find the choir with the oldest wooden seating in the country and the library, housing 25,000 books.

Crossing the Main Square, the Government Palace, and the Municipal Palace, we will enter the Cathedral, a gem of Lima’s history, with artworks that bring us closer to colonial Lima.

DAY 02: AREQUIPA, WHITE CITY

In the afternoon, a city tour of the “White City” opens its doors to us with a route starting in the beautiful colonial neighborhood of San Lázaro, where Arequipa was founded; from there we will walk through its picturesque streets adorned with geraniums.

Next, we will head to the Carmen Alto viewpoint, which offers a beautiful landscape of agricultural terraces and allows us to observe the protective volcanoes surrounding the city: Misti, Chachani, and Picchu-Picchu.

We will continue to the colonial district of Yanahuara, famous for its church built in Andalusian style and its viewpoint, constructed with beautiful architecture and surrounded by sillar stone arches.

Then, we will visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, an impressive religious monument that was closed for nearly 400 years; with narrow streets, plazas, and gardens, it reminds us of the old neighborhoods of Seville or Granada.

Continuing, we will head to the Main Square, where we can see the Cathedral and the arches surrounding the plaza, and finally visit the Church of the Society of Jesus; founded in the 17th century by the Jesuits, its cloisters and the famous Dome of San Ignacio stand out.
DAY 03: ROUTE OF THE VOLCANOES, PAMPA CAÑAHUAS AND CHIVAY

Early departure for a land adventure to the spectacular Colca Valley.

We will explore the volcano route, ascending the slopes of Chachani volcano and enjoying an impressive view of the Misti and Picchu Picchu volcanoes.

Our path will cross the vicuña reserve of Pampa Cañahuas, a high Andean natural habitat where they live and are protected.

The highest point of our journey will reach 4,900 m / 16,076 ft at the Patapampa pass, from where the active Sabancaya volcano can be seen.

We arrive at the Colca Valley where we will stay in the selected hotel. Lunch at the hotel. Free time to rest and enjoy the hot springs in the area.
DAY 04: CONDOR FLIGHT AND ROUTE TO LAKE TITICACA – PUNO

Early departure to head to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint.

We will be ready to witness the impressive flight of the condors, large Andean birds that are a symbol of the high Andean countries. The view allows us to appreciate the vastness of the canyon, considered one of the deepest in the world.

We will visit the towns of Maca and Yanque, which still preserve their colonial churches.

Lunch at a selected local restaurant.

In the afternoon, departure by bus for a journey of approximately 6 and a half hours to the city of Puno.

DAY 05: SACRED LAKE TITICACA AND ITS ISLANDS
- In the morning, we’ll board a private boat to visit the Uros, an indigenous village whose inhabitants, fleeing the various cultures that came to dominate them, took refuge on Lake Titicaca.
- These families continue to build their islands using ancestral techniques and welcome us to share their knowledge. They are a community that relies on tourism.
- Afterward, we’ll continue sailing to Taquile Island. The island’s community has kept its traditions, customs, clothing, and way of life alive to this day. It is one of the few Quechua communities in a predominantly Aymara region.
- They will welcome us with their music and dances.
- We’ll have lunch at a community restaurant, enjoying a typical, nutritious meal.
- After lunch, we’ll walk around the area to appreciate the beautiful landscapes of Lake Titicaca.
- Return to the port of Puno. Transfer to your hotel.
DAY 06: HIGHLAND ROUTE
- We will depart in a private tourist bus to the city of Cusco.
- Our first stop will be the Pucará Lithic Museum, a site that preserves artifacts from the Pucará culture, including monoliths, stelae, and sculptures of animals. This town is famous for its Pucará bulls.
- Continuing our adventure, we reach the highest point at 4,335 meters above sea level in La Raya, the geographical dividing line between the watersheds of Lake Titicaca and the Vilcanota River.
- We will have lunch in Sicuani.
- We continue to the Inca town of Raqchi, where the temple of the god Wiracocha is located.
- As our final stop, we will visit the beautiful Church of San Pedro Apóstol in Andahuaylillas, known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas.”
- Finally, in the afternoon, we will arrive in Cusco and transfer to our hotel.
DAY 07: CUSCO, CAPITAL OF THE INCA EMPIRE AND SACSAYHUAMAN ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK
- Arrival in Cusco, assistance, and transfer to the hotel.
- In the afternoon, we ascend to the Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park, beginning our journey with a visit to the fortress of the same name, a beautiful place that exudes peace and tranquility. We will also admire the enormous rocks, some up to 4 meters high, that were used in its construction.
- We continue to Qenqo, the ancient temple of the puma, where we can appreciate an altar for sacrifices inside a massive rock.
- Then we proceed to Tambomachay, sacred fountains of life and health.
- Along the way, enjoy a panoramic view of Puca Pucara, a watchtower that guarded the entrance to the city.
- Later, we will visit the Temple of the Sun, Qoricancha, upon which the Convent of Santo Domingo was built.
- Finally, we will visit the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral, which houses colonial works of art and paintings.
DAY 08: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

We will depart from Cusco towards the Sacred Valley.

We will visit the fortress of Pisac and the craft market.

Lunch in Urubamba.

Then we will visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, where we will appreciate Inca architecture and engineering.

DAY 09: MACHU PICCHU, LOST CITADEL

VERY IMPORTANT: To purchase the Machu Picchu ticket, it is necessary to provide full names, identification number, date of birth, and nationality. Send this information immediately.
Failure to send the information on time may result in difficulties purchasing Machu Picchu tickets. Tour start times are indicative. Train departure times and Machu Picchu entry will be chosen according to availability at the time of your booking.
Your reservation will be in expert hands. Machu Picchu tickets are limited. We recommend booking at least 2 months in advance. Entry to the citadel is scheduled from 6 am to 4 pm. Each entry allows up to 3 hours inside the citadel.
Our route inside the citadel follows a designated circuit and may vary according to maintenance work or ranger instructions. From December to March is the rainy season, with February being the heaviest month.
The Machu Picchu citadel is open 365 days a year, with only certain sectors closed for maintenance.
Does the 10-Day Peru Tour package include domestic flights between cities?
No, the base price of the package does not include domestic flights (such as Lima-Arequipa and Cusco-Lima) or international flights. Only ground transfers between visited cities and transfers to/from airports are included.

How many meals are included during the 10-day trip?
The package includes a total of six (6) lunches, as specified in the itinerary (Days 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9). Dinners and breakfasts are covered by the 9 included nights of accommodation, but travelers are advised to verify if breakfasts are explicitly provided by the hotel.
How long is the trip between Puno and Cusco?
The journey is made on a private tourist bus on Day 6. It is a full travel day (approximately 10 hours, including stops) known as the “Route of the Sun” or “Altiplano Route”, with visits to museums (Pucará) and Inca sites (Raqchi), as well as lunch in Sicuani.
What type of train to Machu Picchu is included in this 10-day package?
The package includes a round-trip train ticket to Machu Picchu, with the selected category (it is recommended to check which basic category is included, whether Expedition or Vistadome). The journey departs from Ollantaytambo station.
