DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN CUSCO – CITY TOUR EXCURSION

The 6-day Machu Picchu tour will begin with a personal greeting at Cusco airport by your guide and driver, who will take you to your hotel in Cusco.

Once at the hotel, you can relax and enjoy a cup of coca leaf tea and lunch (not included) at one of the local restaurants before the afternoon tour in Cusco.

At 1:30 pm, you will regroup with your tour guide and private transportation to explore the Inca capital.

The 4-hour tour will take you to Cusco’s most prominent historical sites, such as the Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha, the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuamán, and the sacred Inca pilgrimage site of Q’enqo.

DAY 2: CUSCO – CHINCHERO – MORAY – URUBAMBA – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES

The Sacred Valley excursion begins at 7:30 am with pickup from your hotel in Cusco.

After a 1-hour drive, you will participate in a brief cultural tour with the local community and their alpacas in Chinchero.

Then, you will visit the circular agricultural terraces of Moray, an experimental and research center of the Incas.

DAY 3: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU TOUR – CUSCO

You will board the tourist bus for a 30-minute scenic ride along the mountainside to the entrance of the ancient Inca city of Machu Picchu.
Once inside, your personal guide will lead you on a 3-hour exploration of the site’s rich history, taking you through famous monuments such as the Temple of the Sun, the Main Plaza, and the stepped terraces.
Before descending the mountain, your guide will give you time to explore the sanctuary on your own.
After the bus ride back to Aguas Calientes, you will have the option to have lunch at one of the town’s restaurants before taking the train to Ollantaytambo.
A driver will take you back to your hotel in Cusco, and the journey will take about 2 hours, arriving around 6:30 pm.
Additional Option: You can choose to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain after the guided tour of the Inca ruins, but this will have an additional cost of 70 USD per person and add 2 more hours of hiking. In this case, the return to Cusco will be on a later train, and arrival time in Cusco will be around 8:30 pm.
DAY 4: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN - CUSCO

The Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 5:00 a.m.

You will be taken by private transportation on a 2-hour drive to the town of Cusipata.

Here, you will stop to enjoy a delicious breakfast at a local restaurant surrounded by the stunning mountain range.

After breakfast, your driver will take you another 90 minutes through the valley to the start of the hike.

Your guide will accompany you as you begin the hike at an altitude of 4650 m / 15,255 ft.

The hike takes 90 minutes to reach the first viewpoint. If you prefer not to walk, you can hire a horse (additional cost).

To reach the highest viewpoint at 5040 m / 16,535 ft, you will need to walk the final 20 minutes to the summit.

The mountains surrounding Vinicunca display a spectacular range of colors, including shades of red, orange, yellow, green, and blue.

Transfer by private vehicle for 2 hours and 30 minutes to the mountain town of Mollepata, at 2,803 meters above sea level. There, you will enjoy a hearty breakfast at a local restaurant.

After breakfast, the driver will take you another 90 minutes up the valley to Soraypampa, at 3,850 meters (12,631 ft).

From there, your guide will lead you on a 90-minute hike through the mountain pass to the turquoise waters of Humantay Lagoon at 4,180 meters (13,714 ft).

You can also rent a horse to take you to the viewpoint (additional cost).

The Humantay glacial lagoon is located in front of the famous Salkantay Pass.

After taking photos, your guide will lead you back down the valley to the vehicle in Soraypampa.

This package does not include accommodation for the 5 nights. Regarding meals, it includes daily breakfasts (Days 2 to 6) and three specific lunches (one in the Sacred Valley, one in Cusipata, and one in Mollepata). Dinners and other lunches are not covered in the base price.
