DAY 1: Welcome to Lima, City of the Kings and Larco Museum of the Pre-Hispanic Cultures
of this magnificent experience. Built during the founding of Lima. The Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, the oldest university in America, was founded here. We will leave the Center and go to the Larco Museum, place where we will have a clear vision of the Cultures that populated the Ancient Peru. We will be surprised with the gold pieces, textiles and erotic ceramics that are part of the collection that will introduce us to the cosmovision of the ancient Peruvian.
Day 2 : Cusco, capital of the Inca empire and its surroundings
Arrival to the city of Cusco, transfer to your hotel. visit to the Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman, and we will begin the trip visiting. the Inca temple of saqsayhuaman, a beautiful place where one feels peace and tranquility, we will also admire the huge rocks up to 3 meters high that were used in its construction. We continue to Qenqo, was an ancient temple of the puma where we can appreciate a stone altar for the offerings that this, in the inner part of a huge rock and then visit Tambomachay, where are the sacred sources of life and health. On the way, enjoy a panoramic view of Puca Pucara, where there was a watchtower in Inca times, which guarded the entrance to the city of ancient Cusco. Later, we will visit the Temple of the Sun Qorikancha, over this Inca temple was built the Convent of Santo Domingo, local history says that this temple was completely covered in gold, which amazed the conquerors when they first arrived in Cusco. Day 3: Chinchero Inca Village, Moray Terraces and Ollantaytambo Living Inca Village
This day we will know the most beautiful places in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will leave to the town of Chinchero, the highest and most picturesque of the Sacred Valley. This town is famous for its weavers. Let’s scare a brief stop at a textile center to appreciate and know the old Inca techniques for the scary and spinning of alpaca wool. We will visit its Inca Square with its beautiful colonial church. Then we will continue towards Moray, a beautiful Inca archaeological site composed of circular agricultural terraces that were used as an agricultural laboratory to recreate microclimates. We will have lunch in Urubamba. We will continue to visit the last Inca living town, Ollantaytambo. We will visit the bathrooms of the Ñusta, and the Temple of the Sun. The panoramic views from the heights of Ollantaytambo will close this magical day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Accommodation in the area.
Day 4: Machu Picchu, wonder of the world
The long awaited day to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World. We will depart from Ollantaytambo station. Departure by selected train. Arrival at Machu Picchu train station. Assistance by our staff to board the bus that will ascend a narrow road, with a spectacular view of the Urubamba River that forms a deep canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will welcome you with its incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial, astronomical and urban areas. Lunch. At the coordinated time, return by train and transfer to the hotel in Cusco. Lodging.
Day 5: Farewell
Transfer to the airport. Departure to Lima to connect with your flight back home.
